Without it in the World we could not hope to survive
But of too much of it anyone of is not in need
Since of arrogance ego it can be the seed
Nothing worse in the mind than an ego out of control
Since on the gentler human feelings it does take toll
The egotistical their own praises does love to sing
The extreme public promotion of self in life is their thing
Of those with an under control ego not many it does seem
There are many who hold themselves in high esteem
But suppose for this them one can hardly blame
In a Human World where many does crave great wealth and fame
We all need some ego to survive this is true
As our individual personal dreams in life we pursue
But too much ego for the mind is not a healthy thing
Fot those who do have it their own praises only sing.
