The addiction i have it is not a crime
It is something i have been doing since my physical prime
I am one who is addicted to writing of rhyme
I have been advised more than once for to give it away
Since for doing it i never receive any pay
They do not understand that one can enjoy writing rhymes every day
So i carry on writing despite what some think or say
I used to enjoy reading rhymes years ago as a boy
And writing them nowadays i thoroughly enjoy
I hope to be rhyming until the day i do die
If i did tell you differently this would be a lie
And though my best years in life in the forever gone
For as long as i can do i will keep on rhyming on.
