Nowadays his praises you will not hear many sing
It is true about fame that it can be a fleeting thing
It is a World for winners happens to be so
He was admired as a hero up to a few years ago
But hero admiration is only reserved for the best
And not for those found to be wanting when put to the test
In sports one who climbed to the summit of fame
And to many his did become a revered name
But nowadays by him anyone not inspired
