The Abused Husband

To say he did not have a happy existence would not be to say anything that is new

He was one of those rare long suffering husbands his happier moments in life of the few

Survived by his children and his grandchildren and his shrewish ever nagging wife

From her he received many a scolding she gave to him a miserable life

In his late sixties he died of cancer his end it  was rather painful and slow

One can say death did bring to him a relief from suffering an easy life he was one who of did not know

His widow in her late sixties angry with the World as an angry person she is growing old

She will never again find a compliant partner or husband that she can verbally abuse and scold

Seldom we hear of the abused husband in human relationships it is mostly the other way

Of abused wives there is never a shortage plenty of them in the World of today

But that there are a few men who are abused by women is only stating what is obviously true

To suffer of physical or mental abuse for the victim is something that is not deserving or due

He is at peace now in the local cemetery and she feeling miserable without him to scold

She will not find another man for to abuse on her own she will grow miserable and old.
