Remembered As Failures

Of singing the praises of the wealthy and famous some never seem to tire

And in life to emulate them is a thing they do desire

But why many admire environmental vandals seems beyond me to explain

The people who abuse our Earth Mother for their financial gain

That we glorify legal criminals is a truth we do not face

For money that comes from Earth's resources for power has become a race

In a Human World where the minority owns the majority of the wealth at Mother Earth's expense

The values held by many does seem far from common sense

Future generations of people for our environmental abuse will pay

What goes around always comes around life works in this way

For our greed in the ongoing Worldwide competition of wealth and fame

The people not yet born for the poverty they will endure will have us for to blame

The same in your hometown as in the big World out there

The Worldwide competition for wealth and fame it is everywhere

For our abuse of the one who provides for us all the future generations will pay

And they will be remembered as failures the so called successful of today.
