Of The Resources Of The Earth

Of the resources of the Earth that provides for us all some have more than enough

And so many are homeless and hungry and at night sleeping rough

In a Human World where many grow poorer for every new millionaire

So few of Earth's bounty have got the lion's share

Of the praises of greedy people many do sing

And those who have lots of money the admiration of admirers to themselves bring

It is not saying anything that is on any way that is new

That the majority of the wealth of the World is owned by the few

That the gap between the wealthy and the poor is growing by the day

Is such a sad thing for to have to say

In a Human World where many have to lose for a minority to gain

That money is the source of inequality as a truism remain

And sadly the poor are growing poorer by the day

In a fair Human World it would not be this way.
