At Sting Ray Bay

A cool October evening with a slight chill in the breeze
Though the sun it is shining it is a cool ten degrees
The waves gently lapping on the beach of Sting Ray Bay
Just before sundown of a fresh Spring day
In the background the waarbling so pleasant to hear
Of the birds who do sing every day of the year
The black and white magpies Nature's songsters supreme
They are born to sing or so it does seem
Earthly Utopia is not far away
From Warrnambool and beautiful Sting Ray Bay
The mewing of the silver gulls a familiar sound
Where the land meets the ocean Nature's beauty abound
Though where to many mine is a stranger's face
I do feel at ease in this beautiful place.
