Words from a long deceased wise one that many with would disagree
Words of wisdom through the decades live on in the memory
We can see our flaws in others is how it does seem to be
The things we dislike in others we dislike in ourselves as well
In the World of the judgmental this seems a hard idea to sell
Our flaws we do see in others one reason i do not like her or he
The things in them i do not like neither do i like in me
I do not like show off people though their sort i meet every day
Do i suppress this need in me maybe in truth i can say
True enough most of us are flawed the near perfect are a rare kind
We can see the flaws in others but to our own flaws we are blind
And the flaws we dislike in others in our own selves we do see
