Since he has been a victim of a crime of shame
One he did not know emptied his bank account
Which of money happened to be a considerable amount
Another victim of an online scammer sad to say
Who robbed him of his hard earned savings of years working for pay
Though not a wealthy man he now is in financial poverty
And though no longer young he must keep working hard to support his family
With his money to boost his retirement from his bank account gone
Sadly beyond his retirement age he must keep working on
An online stranger with what seemed a credible bogus scheme on whom he placed his trust
Turned out to be a scammer one of the criminally unjust
For his mistrust of strangers a huge financial price he did pay
Life can have it's costly lessons in truth one can say.
