Tim

Most of the women he made love to if living are ageing old dears

Tim has been around for many years

Perhaps in his mid eighties balding and gray

He is one who has known of a far better day

He cannot say if he has fathered children he never had a wife

Though many women have come to and gone from his life

But those days one can say are long over for Tim

It does seem that time it has caught up on him

His last lover left him a few years ago

For everyone a last happens for to be so

A member and fan of the local football club

And he still enjoys a few beers in the local pub

Where to his much younger pub mates he tells stories of his past

And of the good times for him that did not last

With a few beers in and in the mood for song

He always joins in the chorus of the sing along

The women he made love to well past their physical prime

And Tim too has become a victim of time

In the local pub well liked and well known

An octogenarian he lives on his own.
