Human created carbon emissions gives rise to global warming and hurries on climate change
Perhaps in decades from now the unthinkable to us will not be looked on as strange
The surviving species of wildlife in their natural state rare
And that extinction is forever many of all too aware
Our present time lifestyles will become to our shame
And for the World they live in future generations will have us to blame
For their scarcity of food and droughts that give rise to famines where millions of malnutrition die
That most of us humans are not friends of the Earth that feeds us is not a lie
When we abuse what feeds and supports us other creatures will suffer too
Sadly future generations of people will suffer for the damage to the Earth we do
Every day carbon emissions created by us humans hurry on climate change by thousands of years
For future generations of people we are creating suffering grief and tears
If we become kinder to Mother Earth a change for the better this would bring
Nature lovers would not have to fear the thoughts of a silent Spring.
