Not one of the town's attractive women even in her physical prime
Yet Jane she is one who has aged well despite the passing of time
Long wavy grey hair to her shoulders ageing in the natural way
Down to earth without airs and graces to everyone she says good day
A State registered nurse one kind and caring she works hard for her every pay
And when not working in her paid job in her community work her part she does play
In helping the town's poorest people she leads in the fight against poverty
A woman in her early sixties she treats the poor as family
A single woman without children people like Jane are so rare
On that in the needs of poor people she is one who is aware
Her sort of person goes unnoticed helping those doing it tough in life is her thing
To the town's very poorest people some happiness she tries to bring
She is such a marvellous person generous and compassionate and kind
Physical beauty only skin deep Jane has beauty in her mind.
