That mine should be honoured as a well known name
I treat these ego boosters as much the same
Though anyone for craving recognition one hardly can blame
For in the twenty first century the dessire for success through wealth and fame is an in thing
One reason so many their own praises love to sing
And narcissism in desire does have it's source
The ego in the mind is such a great force
Recognition and honour for the self the ego compels us to crave
For to control their ego few can be that brave
Of those who like singing their own praises i quickly does tire
In them i cannot see too much to admire
I too had ambition a long time ago
That evaporated as time became my foe.
