Love between them was at it's pinnacle it did seem this way
It was all lovey dovey on their wedding day
But love quickest to bloom sometimes fastest to die
A truism that has seldom been proven a lie
Their six months of marriage ended in divorce
And sadly love between them it had run it's course
Nowadays as strangers they act when they meet
In silence they pass each other on the street
Hatred between them is all that remain
The often used proverb this well may explain
That hatred can often be love upside down
Perhaps the reason they only glare at each other when they meet in the town
What happened between them do not know for to say
It was all lovey dovey on their wedding day.
