I am just one of those who writes rhymes every day
Just for the love of it not for the reward of pay
Not a hard thing to do does seem true to say
There are so many with rhyming words who loves to play
Rhyme used to be popular many yeaars ago
But that time brings with it changes happens to be so
Rhymers are no longer admired in any town
In literature nowadays in rhyming no renown
Along with novelists by the literary critics the best blank verse poets held in high esteem
Even to literature time always brings great change is how it does seem
Suppose as is said everything has it's time
And though seen as out of date no shortage of writers of rhyme
The Seasons of time have left me balding and gray
I am just one of those who writes rhymes every day.
