For an adventurous lifestyle they feel no desire
Among family and friends happy to stay
In or near where they first saw light of day
Their stories in book form may never be published to be sold
They just feel happy in familiar surroundings to grow old
Well known to all of the other patrons in their local public bar
From their first home content not to live far
The stay at home people feel no desire to live elsewhere
In some big town or city in the World out there
They are happy for to live among their own
Where they are liked by many and to everyone known
On Saturday evening in the pub's hour of song
They join in the chorus of the sing along
And with the local football club feel proud to play
Where they are born and raised they will grow old and grey
Nostalgia and homesickness of they will never know
Though some into adulthood with they did grow
Have left to seek adventure in the big World out there
The stay at home people could never imagine themselves growing old elsewhere.
