A few bad apples rot the bag is not saying what is new
And on saying among politicians there are the bad few
Is not saying anything that in any way is untrue
Some politicians are not good people for to give them their due
It is only saying something that most of are aware
That untrustworthy politicians are no longer rare
Some of them use their power and influence in pursuit of ill gotten gain
Corruption in high places as a blight on humanity remain
Not all politicians in truth one can say
Are corrupt or corruptible in any way
But some of them do leave a lot to be desired
One reason that by everyone they are not admired
The saying that a few bad apples rot the bag as a truism remain
