In the cemeteries of the World there are many people who thought they were irreplaceable
But since the last breath that sustains life from their bodies has gone
Humanity is doing quite nicely without them
And life in the World without them goes on
In life they were people with many admirers
By the impressionable admired as those who did succeed
But their inflated egos did crave more attention
And of far more admirers they did feel in need
Until death the ego destroyer did pay them a visit
And admirers are of little use to the dead
Though their names do live on among the remembered
They do not hear when nice things of them are said
They thought that they were of the irreplaceable
But sadly for them thought did prove them wrong
No human being is born into true greatness
To Nature true greatness does only belong
Life to us is a gift that has been given
Just for a little while and then to die
And those who believe that they are irreplaceable
Are those who believe in their own lie.
