Bell the corriedale wether is eighteen years old
Getting on in years his story ought to be told
The pet of young Susan now in her life's prime
Their friendship go back many Seasons in time
In a half hectare grass covered backyard he lives on his own
And of happier days in life he would have known
Her dad bought Bell from a nearby farmer as a yearling for Susan as a pet
Susan loved her pet wether from the moment they met
Susan is working in the city today
From her old friend Bell four hours by car away
And that the bond of friendship despite her absence remains strong is obviously clear
She visits him four or five times a year
And he bleats when he sees her in sheep language how do you do
Susan it is so very good to see you.
