In the days when her wavy shoulder length hair was chestnut brown
By many young males Maud Kelo was admired as the pride of the town
Yet out of her many choices she wed the wrong man
All things in love and life do not always go to plan
More than three decades later by anti ageing creams her time wrinkles hidden away
And with brown hair dye she cloaks the grey
That the years to the hair never does fail to bring
On looking back time does seem a fleeting thing
A divorced grandmother who knows how it was to live as an abused wife
Ageing on her own without a partner in her life
She has gained weight and is not the beauty that she used to be
But time ages all life she is sixty three
Maud Kelo no longer a rare beauty for to behold
Time it leaves the best of them looking old.
