Since they only brought to you memories of regret
That you ever met them in the first place
And nowadays you ignore each other when you meet face to face
When on your daily walks in the park or on the street
You ignore each other whenever you meet
They have invaded the dark spot in your mind
That is not reserved for the compassionate and kind
There are people that you remember with a smile
And knowing them you feel has been well worth your while
With them you have so much in common to share
Good friendships like this one can say are quite rare
There are people that you only know by sight
But their energy for you it does not seem right
To get to know them better friendships are formed by two
Since you feel they feel the same way about you
The people with many friends are not without foes
Human relationships work in this way one suppose
There are so many people you meet every day
And all of them different in their own way.
