The day it is warm close to thirty degrees
And only the slightest of a coastal breeze
Gently stirring the leaves on the taller trees
And the warm air full of the buzzing of flies and bees
For Illowa of the Moyne Shire a warm February day
And black cattle chewing their cuds in the shade of the tall trees do lay
The warbling of the magpies who sing all through the year
In the warmth of late Summer so pleasant to hear
Home to emu, koala, echidna, black wallaby and grey kangaroo
And long billed corella and yellow tailed black cockatoo
Tower Hill once home to the indigenous tribe the Peek Wurrong
In the tweny first century to Nature belong
A weather temperature for the day of a high of twenty nine
And white butterflies are flitting in the warm sunshine.
