Who are your heroes or heroines of the World of today
Since of the sort of person you are much of you this does say
Is your heroine or hero a multi billionaire
Who for herself or himself only does seem to care
Who to amass their billions the Earth that feeds us choose to abuse
For the damage they create they use the excuse
That they are creating employment by digging huge holes in Mother Earth's ground
Of the stupidity of the greed in their voices they do love the sound
And you who admire them what does this say of you
When you applaud them for the things to the Earth that they do
Cannot understand that to be like them that you do desire
It says much about us those we choose to admire
The environmental criminals of the future will be many of the billionaires of today
Those who does treat the one who does feed us in such a shabby way
With their greed for money how sad this seems to be
But with my thinking on this few would agree
We do not own the Earth that does feed us since to her we belong
And on much of our behaviour towards her we have it all wrong
For me not to speak out against human greed would only be to my shame
Though what is happening to our Earth Mother i too must take some blame
Wildlife disappearing as well as pollinating and honey making bees
We are helping to create a World for future generations of hunger and disease
Sadly the enemies of the Earth that does feed us all many of us do admire
And of singing their praises never seem to tire.
