A harboured grudge often does lead one to crime
And has been known to one serving a long term of prison time
For physical assault or far worse murder for settling an old score
When their grudge in the mind became a festering sore
Life cannot be pleasant for those with a grudge with for to live
Bitterness does consume one who cannot forgive
Many who do harbour grudges does spend time in jail
Of the power that come from forgiveness they are unable of to avail
Those who harbour grudges by darkness of mind possessed
And eventually they become revenge obsessed
No room for love in the mind where a grudge does live
It is not a recipe for future happiness in those who cannot forgive
To harbour a grudge for anyone is not a good thing
Since thoughts of revenge to the mind it only does bring.
