Where mine years ago was a well known face
Today i would be a stranger to many in Claraghatlea my first homeplace
Around two kilometres from the Town of Millstreet
In the green countryside where the waterways meet
Where i grew to love Nature when i was a boy
And learning of her ways today i enjoy
Here in Gundijtmara country far south of where i went to school
In the coastal Moyne Shire between Koroit and Warrnambool
It has been thirty four years and time does not stand still
Since i last climbed on the high fields up to Clara Hill
And on the scenic views in amazement gazed down
On the green countryside far west of Millstreet Town
On going back the Seasons this seems long ago
And since time that ages has become my foe.
