Nature And Mother Earth

 That she is a great teacher only true to say

And from her we learn something new every day

And the more we learn of her the more we come to realize

That of her we know little which to wonder gives rise

Nature is one who has ways of her own

And so much about her remains as unknown

Even most on natural science who have their degree

That she is their teacher do readily agree

To feed us on Mother Earth and Nature we depend

Yet we do not treat them as our greatest friend

The World is for us to live in and with other creatures to share

But due to the destruction of their natural habitat many species of animal and birds are becoming rare

Due to the increase in carbon emissions the climate is changing fast

The children of the future may look to the past

When for the poverty they endure they seek culprits to blame

Our treatment of  Mother Earth and  of Nature is to all of our shame

Nature and Mother Earth are suffering due to our greed

And of many more human friends they are in need

The children of the future for our mistakes will pay

And this seems a sad thing for to have to say
