The hawthorns are cloaked in their blossoms of white to grey
In Mountleader in Millstreet in the greeness of May
On a pleasant sunny morning of close to twenty degrees
The songbirds are singing on the bushes and trees
The old fields resplendent in their Nature's flowers
That have come to bloom in the recent Spring showers
With the sun on their dark wings chirping as they fly
The swallows are chasing flying insects in the sky
Nature at her finest to view joy with it does bring
Mountleader is such a beautiful place in the Spring
Young frolicsome lambs around their mothers play
For to describe such beauty no words for to say
Earthly Utopia cannot be far away
From this place of great beauty Mountleader in May.
