The war supposed to end all wars ended more than a century ago
And the enemies back then are no longer the foe
But many wars have been fought since then and wars are fought today
For patriotism the price can be huge for to pay
Wars have been waged in Nations Worldwide
So many far too many in conflicts have died
Those who declare war in war never fight or die
And this term of a just war is based on a lie
At war memorials with the patriots in attendance the last post often played
The memories of war are not allowed to fade
On any memorial wall you will never see
The name of anyone who has marched for peace and Worldwide harmony
The patriots feel pride in honouring their war dead
And so much about war has been written and said.
