Not Surprising

 Not surprising that those who create most carbon dioxide emissions climate change blame

For the disappearing numbers of  wild species to purge themselves of the guilt of shame

That their greed for money is the main cause for the sharp increase in global warming they vehemently deny

And to scale back on their destruction of  natural habitat they make no effort to try

People who could not tell apart a currawong from a crow

And of the creatures of Nature nothing of or wish of to know

For the destruction of natural habitat the poor of the World not to blame in any way

Only a small part in global warming they ever do play

It is the money greedy land developers and governments who allow them to cut trees for wildlife down

For to create space for more buildings in every city and town

More so than climate change for the disappearing wildlife numbers to blame it does seem

The greedy people the impressionable of the World does hold in high esteem

We may not be that distant from the first silent Spring

And this even to think of  is such a sad thing.
