We read of and hear of people with terminal illnesses every day
That death in time from them is not far away
And though news of their illnesses sadness with it does bring
Life in itself is a terminal thing
There is truth in the old song and truth does not lie
With the title of 'the longer you live the sooner you will die'
A certainty of life as sure as night follows day
That mortality is for all living creatures as well as for humans only true to say
One who has a terminal illness is near her or his life's end
But all life is terminal why otherwise pretend
Some people die as children and in their lives prime
And eventually everyone runs out of time
The longest lived human life in time is not a long span
On average a few years more for a woman than it is for a man.
