One Reason

One reason that i am not financially well off that is obviously clear

Is that i have been writing rhyme for many a year

Without the reward of any money for pay

And that money does give one status only true to say

I am one of those addicted to penning of rhyme

Something i have been doing since my physical prime

And this is going back many Seasons in time

I would be in prison if this is a crime

I used to love reading rhymes as a young boy

And nowadays writing them i thoroughly enjoy

The rhymes that come to me in notebook i pen down

Just for the love of doing it not for money and literary renown

Penning rhyme is a thing i could not give away

And i just add to my numbers of them every day.
