That It Is The descendants of Colonizers

 That it is the descendants of colonizers who rule the vast southern Land

And not the descendants of Australia's first people seems hard to understand

Though this has happened to first Nation people Worldwide

That most people are governed by colonizers a fact that seems hard to hide

In Canada the U  S and South America it is much the same

And many other Countries far too many to name

And dispossession of native populations in most cases has been quite cruel

In a World where many have died for a few for to rule

As is said about history it takes it's own course

And so many Countries have been annexed by invader force

In wars over Land so many have died

And it is the native population who are mostly on the losing side

Today in the Land of  emu, wombat, koala and kangaroo

You will not hear the drone of a didgeridoo.
