Bridie Murphy nee Fitzpatrick in Ballydaly Lower lived for most of her long life
A good mother to her children and to the late Donnacha a good wife
Sad to learn of the passing of one generous and kind
To loyalty to her family and friends Bridie stayed true to the ties that bind
Sad for all in Ballydaly who will not see her again
One they will fondly remember for as long as life's gift they retain
In life she led by good example in truth one of her can say
Ballydaly much the poorer for her leaving it today
For a better World to live in one who helped to plant the seed
And of more like Bridie Murphy the Human World of is in need
One who never sought the limelight yet to many was a good friend
Sad to learn that the life's journey for her has come to an end
Her heart that beat with kindness is forever more still
In St Mary's Cemetery in Millstreet Town in view of Cashman's Hill.
