Those who have never known of sorrow to say the least rare
As few do go through life without some cross to bear
So many of loss have sad stories to tell
And grief it is a sentence in Earthly Hell
The words of a wise woman i recall as a boy
She said life is a mixture of sorrow and joy
Where the deceased are she forever does lay
But her words of wisdom are with me today
You have had your bad times as many do
But some have known of far worse days than you
Grief it has reduced the bravest to tears
And it is something in the mind that can linger for years
And though sad memories a lifetime does stay
That time is a great healer only true to say.
