Those Who Can Forgive

 They are blessed by a rare gift those who can forgive

In a World where many nurse their grudges for as long as they live

Not mentally healthy a grudge in the mind

Those who nurse their grudges to the act of forgiveness seem blind

A grudge can lead to revenge in a serious crime

And many due to a grudge do serve prison time

The act of forgiveness the mind of hatred does set free

And confines the grudge they did harbour to history

A grudge in the mind anyone does not need

Those who can forgive they are lucky indeed

For harbouring hatred is not good for the soul

And on one's mental health can take it's toll

Many who harbour a grudge are in prison today

For their crime of revenge this the price they do pay

That forgiveness is a gift of the lucky few

Is not saying anything in any way that is new.
