As The Wise One Has Said

 It is true that we only can learn from the past

And that change keeps occuring and few things as they are last

The children of the nineteen sixties are grandparents today

And time on their lives keeps on ticking away

And only the memories we do retain

Of the what used to be but will not be again

And it is not saying any thing that in any way that is new

That life's lessons for us are not of the few

For our every mistake in life some price to pay

But that we learn as we live only true for to say

And that wisdom only belong to the aged is not true

There are some wise young people for to give them their due

Yesterday has gone and the future is ahead

And the now is all that does matter as the wise one has said.
