Unrivalled for their beauty of them one can say
These parrots i see often though not every day
Blue fringes on wings and mostly red, dark patches through red on the back, blue cheeks and long blue tail
Once seen and once heard to recognize again them you will not fail
The female lay white eggs in cavity high on old tree
For parrots they do raise a large family
In avaries they are not hard birds to tame
Crimson rosellas they are known of by name
Less territorial than most birds are of them true to say
Blossoms, fruits and seeds their main food of the day
In forests they are seen every day of the year
And their soft chirping songs are quite pleasant to hear
Them for their great beauty one can only admire
And of singing their praises it does seem hard to tire.
