You should leave it to others to praise you if praise is your due

Those into the promotion of the self are no longer rare

So many arrogant and narcissistic people Worldwide who have made for themselves a name

So few of the humble ever know of fame

In the twenty first century self promotion is an in thing

Their own praises so many do love to sing

So many who like to tell others of how great they are

Of how on the social ladder they have climbed far

One must listen to thunder as the wise one does say

Sadly the humble are becoming endangered it does seem this way

It is always the same when the big egos meet

For attention with others they love to compete.
