A vixen in heat calling in the moonlight
She needs a male partner with her for to mate
If not in a few days for her it will be too late
And she will be unable to give birth to young foxes this year
So she hopes that a male fox her mating call will hear
Due to poisoning and shooting foxes in these parts of the countryside are rare
And of this the vixen she would be aware
She barks and listens for a few minutes for a male to reply
But there does not seem to be any male fox to her nearby
Not many foxes left in the countryside
Last year all of her cubs under hunter gunfire died
She is desperately calling with a male with to mate
Since in a few days for her it will be too late.
