Who Would Believe

Such beautiful weather for the time of year

The sun brightly shining in sky blue and clear

The southern calendar Winter just a forthnight away

Weatherwise quite exceptional for the far southern May

With such beautiful weather how could one complain

The countryside looking green after the recent rain

A weather temperature high for the day of a pleasant twenty degrees

And above the paddocks in the sunlit sky white butterflies dancing in the breeze

Some will tell you that this is not natural at all

To see so many butterflies this late in the Fall

But in the twenty first century nothing in Nature seems strange

As we are in the era of Climate Change

The sun shining bright in a sky blue and clear

Who would believe the calendar Winter is near.
