If from their achievements they have an inflated sense of pride
When they laud those they admire as special and great
The admiring masses big egos create
It is hard to remain down to earth if others tell you of how great you are
Since on the ladder of success you are one who has climbed far
It is true that lots of praise can go to the praised one's head
And that a swollen ego can lead to narcissism in truth can be said
Many of the wealthy and famous as huimble do not remain
But the reason for this is not hard to explain
Since they are written of and spoken of in the media every day
With their sense of self importance they get carried away
Humility is the victim of success and fame
And the gullible admirers for this partly to blame.
