In Quiet Old Yambuk

In quiet old Yambuk overlooking the saltwater bay
The often noisy wind turbines are spinning slowly today
Much noisier they get as the freshening winds blow
As people who live nearby of this too well know
Many environmentally minded people the praises of wind turbines do sing
But to most who does live near them joy they do not bring
They do find it hard to sleep on a windy night
And wake rather tired for to  greet the daylight
And some remind us that in their spinning blades migrating birds die
A fact that is proven and fact not a lie
A calm June evening in Yambuk of a low ten degrees
And the wind turbine blades slowly turning  in the  gentle breeze
And wisdom from the past on hindsight to recall
That what is good to many is not good to all.
