The wealthiest farmer on his side of the town
Materially wealthy his ego far from small
But of Nature he seems to know little at all
He knows quite a lot about cattle and sheep
And to hiumself such knowledge he does not keep
But of the wildlife of his fields his ignorance does show
Of Nature and her ways little he seems to know
One of many who looks at life in a regular and materialistic sort of a way
Money, farming, politics and sports his main topics of the day
His children young adults and he and his wife
Have voted for the same political party all of their life
And the political party they vote for not environmentally friendly in any sort of a way
Though in this they are not unique in truth one can say.
