May Not Be Far away

So much natural habitat for wildlife in Australia by fire has been destroyed
And so many animals, birds, insects, amphibians, snakes and lizards have died
Though it is mostly human deaths and burnt to ash properties we read of and hear about
Of the destruction of natural habitat and the deaths of billions of life forms little is written or said of and of news worthiness loses out
The bush fires of Summer has caused death, destruction and tears
And human environmental practices has caused Global Warming and brought Climate Change forward by hundreds of years
The lives of many already endangered species in the bush fires have been lost
Short term jobs such as mining for coal have come at a huge environmental cost
With Summer weather temperatures soaring fears for the years ahead
Unless we drastically change our environmental habits for a cleaner World all hope soon will be dead
Climate Change due to Global Warming has come upon us so fast
Us humans are always so slow to learn from our mistakes of the past
Respect for our Earth Mother who feeds us we must learn to pay
Or the end of Humanity as we know it may not be that far away.
