On Crimson Rosellas

Birds i do see often though not every day

Quite beautiful parrots of them one can say

Blue cheeks and mostly red with mottled brown on their red wings and tail blue and long

They do have a pleasant to hear soft chirping song

Mostly woodland birds of humans quite shy

Crimson rosellas the name they are known by

The female lay white eggs in a cavity in a tree

And they usually do raise a big family

The juvenile crimson rosellas are green

And in small flocks in wooded places are often seen

Beautiful to look at mental pictures of them with you will remain

Once seen and once heard you will know them again

People with bird feeders in their backyards say they become almost tame

Of these beautiful parrots who live up to their name.
