To be known to be wealthy or good at sports your ticket to local renown
Everyone wants to know everyone else's private business but their own private business they wish none of to know
And the less they know about you the more their curiousity about you does grow
If you never attend their community gatherings they do wonder why
Could it be you are hiding some secret from them is the reason you seem so shy
The less they know about you the more interested in you they seem to be
Of their small town mentality death will only set them free
For most of them the weekend sports or political party or social gatherings is what life is mostly about
And they believe anyone who is not interested on what they are interested in are somehow losing out
On the things in life that matter most of all
Politics and making money and sports especially football
Yet among the sameness there are the few
Who do their own thing this is not saying what is new.
