A Sight Of Great Beauty

A sight of great beauty in Nature to see
A koala eating leaves on a manna gum tree
Or on a high branch having it's daily sleep
They do not have any appointments to keep
Koala numbers on the decrease in the Australia of today
On the ground slow moving so many of them die on the roadway
And in bushfires every year many of them die
That they are becoming endangered is sadly not a lie
Koalas are beautiful creatures indeed
And for their survival as a species of more human friends they are in need
Of small eyes, dark button type nose and coat of furry grey
They are fair dinkum Aussies of them one can say
And Australia it surely much poorer would be
Without a koala sleeping or eating leaves on a manna gum tree.
