The females give birth to many offsprings and their numbers multiply
That they are Nature's survivors none ought to deny
They are Nature's survivors thanks to their prolific breeding and sexual drive
Despite trapping and diseases and poisoning as species they survive
Rats, rabbits and mice to humanity are a pest
And to rid the World of them many have tried their best
And though trapping and baiting on their numbers take toll
For to rid the World of them is beyond human control
To humanity they never do bring any joy
So much food and cash crops every year they destroy
You will not hear many people say anything that is nice
About the creatures they cannot love rats, rabbits and mice
Though for their destroying of crops and food humans them cannot forgive
Rats, rabbits and mice the last human being may well outlive
Their secrets of survival they are prolific breeders and in large numbers multiply
And humans will never rid the World of them though hard they do try.
