As The Power To Do Good

On the success ladder you may have climbed far
But this does not tell us of the sort of a person you really are
Since it is not how materially successful you are or the prizes you win
As compassion and kindness can only come from within
The good person may not be one of the admired of the town
But is one who is always willing to help the financially down
The kindest of people are never the most admired
And so few to be like them ever feel inspired
But they live their lives in an unselfish way
By performing a good deed or two every day
For their future good karma they sow the good seed
And of the admiration of others they are not in need
It is not of how wealthy you are or of the prizes you win
As the power to do good only comes from within.
