A sight of great beauty in memory to stay
The fields of Cloghoula in their wildflowers of May
With the nesting birds singing on bushes and trees
Their music is carrying in the freshening breeze
That has in it's breath the freshness of Spring
Greeness to the old fields May with it does bring
The dark barn swallows aerial speedsters of flight
On pursuit of flying insects quite an amazing sight
And the dark brown water bird of breast white as snow
The dipper is singing where finnow waters flow
From the high country by Gneeves it journeys on down
Through the flatter fields that border Millstreet Town
Earthly Utopia it cannot be too far away
From this place of great beauty Cloghoula in May.
